Ok, bear with me here but I have another sort of vaguely discographic question. Has anyone here ever compiled a list of all the Fence(ish) releases that have appeared on what they now call vinyl?
I was visiting a friend the other day, who has quite a meticulous approach to cataloguing his records and it got me thinking.
I dunno if any Skoubhie/Heroes stuff ever made it onto vinyl, so I don't know if anything predates the Bad Jazz stuff. I guess a certain amount of checking of collections, coupled with cross referencing discogs etc might help get a complete picture so if anyone wants to join in then feel free.
J Wright Presents - Moving Up Country/Are You Coming Home Tonight? 7"
Lone Pigeon - Touched By Tomoko 7" (were there two of these, one black one red or was that a dream?)
Lone Pigeon/J Wright Presents - Rocks/Boats/St Patrick 7"
King Creosote - So Forlorn 7"
James Yorkston & The Athletes Domino Stuff
The Lang Toun 10"
St Patrick 10"
Sweet Jesus 10"
Tender To The Blues 10"
Someplace Simple 12" EP
Concubine Rice LP - original run of this came with a free 7" and I'm fudgywudgy if I can remember what was on it
Did any Lone Pigeon singles come out on Sketchbook? I don't recall any.
Schmoozzzmmii LP (the only Whizzkiddzz vinyl release?)
Anything else? I guess we could enter Aliens territory after this
Stuff on other labels
Gangplank 7" on Static Caravan
Whisper 7" on Chaffinch
Gummi Bako/Come In Tokyo 7" on Nekkid Rekkids
King Creosote/Pip Dylan thing on For Us
I'm sure there must be others
De-Fence 10" Series
I'm sure OnTheFly can furnish us with this info
Fence Secret 7s
My memory of these is patchy, although I did notice that Vinyl Exchange in Manchester were asking £8 for the Pictish Trail/Found one. Adrian Crowley, Player Piano, lots of different colours as I recall.
Chart Ruse and Buff Tracks
Three of each of these, I think 'Heart Heart', 'Michael Rocket' and 'How I Won My Stripes' were the standouts here
Sheesh, where to begin? Maybe separate into Fence - Domino - Diamond Mine - Warners - Others? I dunno.
Did 'K&B' ever get a vinyl release?
Rocket DIY and Flick the Vs did. As did all of the Diamond Mine stuff over various LPs, EPs and 7s
Warners stuff - that starts with the Favourite Girl 10" if I'm correct. Where it ends I couldn't say - presumably with the last thing to be taken off 'Bombshell'. Did Bombshell come out on vinyl? Did the reworked KC Rules OK? Hmmm...
The most recent Fencey stuff would I guess be 'That Might Be It, Darling' LP and 'Analogue Catalogue' 10" EP but where does it all being and what came in between?
Anyway, this insomnia appears to be passing so I should really get back to bed. This might be better off compiled and put in a future 'zine like what they did in the 80s.

The Lone Pigeon 7" that was free with Concubine had an early version of I Am The Unknown on it, plus two really short tracks...'We are the aliens, we come from space' springs to mind for one, the other....pffft, cannae mind, would have to dig it out.
There's a JY/Sweet Billy Pilgrim 7" on ICA Records, which has a demo version of 'I Know My Love' on it.
KC wise, all this springs to mind:
KC Rules OK was released on vinyl, and ye also had Bootprints, 678 and You Are Could I on 7".
As for Bombshell there is:
2 x You've No Clue Do You promo 12"s, as well as the standard release 12" - that Atlantic Conveyor mix is really nice, by the way.
Admiral 7", Home In A Sentence 7" & You've No Clue Do You 7".
There was a They Flock Like Vulcans 7", Soom T vs KC 'What Is Life?' 7" and an early It's Jo & Danny 7" (2002ish?) with a KC remix on the b-side. And his cover of Malky Middleton's 'Choir' on the Blue Plastic Bags 7".
Oh and Magnetophone had Kel's Vintage Thought out on 12", with a short version of 'And May Your Last Words...' on it, plus a 7" with the full length version of said tune. And what a tune...
JY had 7"s out for Ship Song, Shipwreckers, Steady As She Goes and Tortoise Regrets Hare, as well as a double 12" of Woozy With Cider remixes.
The Bad Jazz stuff is covered above, but on Domino -
Sweet Jesus 10"
Tender to the Blues 10"
St Patrick 10"
Moving up Country 12" LP
Surf Song 7"
Someplace Simple 12" EP
Just Beyond the River LP
The Year of the Leopard 2x10"LP
Summer Song 7"
Steady as she Goes 7"
Woozy with Cider 7"
Woozy with Cider 2x12" remix EP
Roaring the Gospel 12"LP
When the Haar Rolls In 2x10"
Tortoise regrets Hare 7"
Folk Songs 12" LP
Martinmas Time 7"
Mary Connaught & James O'Donnel 7"
It's Lovely to be Heard 10"
Moving up Country 2x12" LP Reissue
I was a Cat from a Book 2x10"LP
Red vinyl JY I Spy Dogs (Demo) Vs KC Something beginning with D 7" which was a freebie at a Caves gig.
Pyschonauts featuring JY Hips for Scotland 12" EP
Lal Waterson 12" with KC, JY and two others
I Know My Love (demo) 7" with Billy Pilgrim which was a fudging rip-off which still gets my goat.
And probably a few more which have slipped my memory.
Oh - There was that Rough Trade single with Pip Dylan's song that Kenny and I are on.
