so, last night was a good one. the pictish trail opened up with some oldies and some newies, lovely stuff. all assisted by the kc and some incredible rich amino sound effects wizardry at the end. at least, thats how i heard it.
next up, player piano. possibly the first show i've ever seen with more time given to between song banter than to the music, but lovely all the same.
candythief followed that, which wasn't an easy thing to do, but she did her thing perfectly - best i've seen her on her own for a while. some new songs which are sounding sweet, too.
then adrian "alastair" crowley came on, went off and came back on again, acompanied by two of the eleyssian dudes and a young gentleman on bass guitar. beautifully atmospheric, shimmering little notes from the edge those tunes. had my doubts before but now, like mickey dolenz, im a believer.
other entertanment has included arguments over tracklistings, worrying about not having any sets ready, little pebble t-shirts, a mega bonanza fence sale at the merchandise desk, cups of tea, a complete lack of an iron and some incredible fence badges. seriously - you will want the badges !
You pretty much summed it up Rich, a very enjoyable evening. Apart from getting lost going for a fish supper( got some dodgy directions ) and ended up being way for an hour so missed PT, but alls well that ends well.
