Angels Fight The City formed in January 2004, out of the ashes of XFM favourites Go Rimbaud. Since then they have toured Britain with chart-toppers Razorlight and attracted high praise from the likes of Rolling Stone. AFTC have a new, exciting sound, with serious song writing and attitude to back it up. Their sound is in the tradition of all the great bands that ever explored the darker edges of rock n’ roll: The Velvet Underground, Joy Division, The Pixies and Sonic Youth. Yet AFTC are unique in many ways. With their literary edge and emphasis on substance as well as style, they leave contemporary garage-rock wannabes eating their magic dust.
