‘Animal Magic Tricks’ began two years ago when Frances Laura Donnelly fled London, and her own crap art and poetry, to return to the seaside town of Bournemouth, where she finally combined her malformed disciplines in the joy of making noise. Her musical training took place under the strict regime of an elderly audience demanding Vera Lynn and Billie Holiday in the old folk’s home in where she worked. She currently lives in Brighton which is lovely, though the coastline is unspeakably better in Dorset.
