Hardsparrow is a misleading light in the trendy Electro-Shanty scene currently sweeping the nation’s coasts. At the end of the 1970′s, Italian fishermen were hearing Donna Summer records on their boats’ radios, then returning to port to cut blistering synth-shanty floor-fillers. Hardsparrow mixes this over-looked legacy with off-beat singer-songwritering, often preoccupied with loneliness and death, that is quirky, kooky and, ultimately, zany. He is currently studying NVQ Crab Management in Poole, and has just learnt to write about himself in the third-person without suffering an all-consuming fit of shame.
