Fence Records’ annual music bash, The Homegame, returns for it’s seventh year – taking place in various small halls dotted around the label’s picturesque sea-side hometown of Anstruther, in Fife.

Hosted by label bosses, King Creosote and The Pictish Trail, the event will be spread over 3 days – March 12th to 14th, 2010 – with performances from various artists on the Fence label, as well as a range of other up-and-coming Scottish, UK, and international acts.

Held outside tourist season, and with ticket numbers süper-limited, Homegame is an anti-dote to the regular festival experience.  Emphasis is placed upon capturing intimate performances in unusual settings – it’s about discovering the town as well as new acts, and experiencing your favourite music from a different perspective.

There are already some very ‘special’ names lined up for this year – however, the full roster will not be revealed until much later.   You’ll just have to trust Fence that it will be amazing!

To give you some idea, over the past few years Fence events have featured performances from Slow Club,  Adem,  KT Tunstall,  Jon Hopkins,  Steve Mason,  The Cheek,  The Concretes,  Marina & The Diamonds,  Lone Pigeon,  Malcolm  Middleton,  Karine Polwart,  The Whip,  John MacLean (Beta Band, The Aliens),  David Thomas Broughton,  Viking Moses,  Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip),  Green Gartside,  The Phantom Band,  The Memory Band,  Josie Long,  Emma Pollock,  The Shivers,  Will Hodgkinson,  The Skygreen Leopards,  Alasdair Roberts … as well as a slew of Fence Records acts … including, of course,  James Yorkston,  The Pictish Trail  and  King Creosote.
