The EP shenanigans have only just begun … and now we’ve got a new series ready to roll. BUFF TRACKS.
Buff Tracks is a series of 3 EP’s on 7″ vinyl. Each EP will feature 3 new songs by a Fence Collective artist, as well as an exclusive remix. When you purchase an EP, or subscribe to the entire set, you’ll receive your 7″ vinyl in the post … and then a short while after (maybe a week or two), you’ll receive the download codes for all tracks. Except the remix – that stays exclusive to the vinyl just now.
Why Buff Tracks?
Err. Well, following the colour wheel after chartreuse, we need to go to yellow. And “buff” is a shade of yellow. Yes it is, okay. And we wanted to incorporate some old rail maps in the artwork for this series – hence “tracks”, rail tracks, y’know. And song tracks. Double meaning. Yeah, we’re clever like that.
Hey presto. Buff Tracks.
Okay, let’s not dwell on the name.
Who is in the Buff?
The first EP in the Buff Tracks series is gonna be by The Pictish Trail. The Summer Is Empty Of Idiots E.P. will feature 3 songs, and a remix. The lead track is a song called ‘Michael Rocket’ … more info on that song to come soooon! This first EP will be sent out to subscribers on August 6th 2012. The second EP will be sent out 2 months later, and the third EP another 2 months after that.
The other two EP’s in the series are a secret just now … but have faith in Fence Records! They are braw!
