    CLASSIC FENCE COLLECTIVE TITLES – new to the Fence Shop!

    We’ve been dusting out the Fence webshop, and filled it with some new goodies! The James Yorkston stock we had was selling so well that we decided to raid the rest of the Domino warehouse … and now we’ve got these new items in the guest section of the Fence Shop.

    If you’re a Fence fan, chances are you’ve got pretty much all of this already – but there’s a few nice vinyl pressings in there you might be interested in … and these classic records make excellent gifts for Fence first-timers!

    * Lone Pigeon – 28 Secret Tracks – 12″ vinyl LP *
    Incredibly limited 12″ vinyl pressing of one of the greatest Fence releases ever. Ever. Was released on Record Store Day earlier this year – make sure you grab your copy now before they all disappear!

    * Lone Pigeon – Time Capsule – CD Boxset *
    Colossal 7 CD boxset, collecting Lone Pigeon’s home recorded material. This is pretty much the Fence holy grail.

    * King Creosote & Jon Hopkins – Diamond Mine – CD / LP + Download Codes *
    The phenomenal new album, available in both CD and 12″ vinyl LP (with download codes).

    * King Creosote – No One Had It Better (remixes) *
    7″ single, taken from Flick The Vs, featuring a remix from top producer Bullion on the A-side, and a remix of the remix by Kenners on the B.

    * U.N.P.O.C. – Fifth Column – CD / LP *
    Available on CD and 12″ vinyl LP – this is bedroom-pop at its finest. If you don’t believe me, just ask James Yorkston – it’s one of his all time fave records. Features ‘Here On My Own’, from that Hallam Foe film, ken?

    * Jon Hopkins – Insides – CD / LP + Download Codes *
    Want to hear more of the sounds that made Diamond Mine and Bombshell so hauntingly beautiful? Well there’s plenty to be found here, on Jon’s debut for Double Six / Domino Records.

    * King Creosote – KC Rules OK – CD *
    * King Creosote – Bombshell – CD *
    * King Creosote – Flick The Vs – CD / LP + Download Codes *
    The three official King Creosote studio albums – each totally different, and each a stone cold classic. KC Rules OK, from 2005, pairs Kenny with Chorlton’s finest, The Earlies – who add brass, strings and a bit o’ polish to some of the King’s finest songs. KT Tunstall joins in on backing vocals on a few, and novelist Ian Rankin gives his seal of approval on the whole thing in the liner notes. 2007′s Bombshell, KC’s first album with Jon Hopkins on the desk, manages to combine the texture of his home recordings with a full band, and the works on top. The songs, including ‘No Clue Do You’, ‘Leslie’ and ‘Spystick’, are among the finest in all the KC canon. On Flick The Vs, from 2009, KC is accompanied on production duties by Hopkins, but also Paul Savage (of The Delgados) and Steve Mason (of The Beta Band) – and somehow manages to combine kraut-rock, electronic pop, ambient folk and bluegrass and make it arguably his most coherent album! Give the man a cherry lambrini!

    * King Creosote – Rocket D.I.Y. – CD *
    * King Creosote – Kenny & Beth’s Musakal Boat Rides – CD *
    Two Fence titles released in conjunction with Domino Records. Rocket D.I.Y. from 2005 is arguably KC’s finest home-recorded album; K&BMBR isn’t so much a best of what came before as it is a glimpse of the vast treasure trove of songs KC penned before 2003. Both are essential.

    We’ve also set up a separate De-Fence section for the shop – which contains all the 10×10 titles, and albums we have in stock.
