FENCE HALLOWE’EN PARTY – the first line-up announcement!

As you all know by now, we’re having our Fence Fancy Dress Hallowe’en Party in Glasgow this year – taking place from 2pm until 2am on Hallowe’en itself, Sunday 31st October 2010 … and now we’re pleased to announce some of the names joining us on the bill!

    * King Creosote – a full Fence Collective band performance, with knobs on (not out)

    * James Yorkston – a rare outing in 2010 for JY, don’t miss it!

    * Silver Columns - Pictish Trail and Adem’s electro-pumping pop!

    * James Yuill - the Moshi Moshi labelmate of Silver Columns, purveyor of fine acoustic-electronica and smart glasses.

    * Lord Cut Glass – the lavish musical creation of Alun Woodward (former front man of Delgados, and Chemikal Underground honcho)

    * Alasdair Roberts – one of Scotland’s finest singer-songwriters, an expert conjuror of the traditional and the experimental.

    * John MacLean (DJ) – a technicolour-pop DJ set from the Beta Band / Aliens whizz

    * Jo Mango – beautifully crafted melodies wrapped around a voice that will make you blub ’til Christmas.

    * Vladimir Lad – the new solo outing from the one who isn’t a girl out of Love.Stop.Repeat. Quiet at the back!

    * Randolph’s Leap – the whimsical-yet-wry acoustic merriment from Adam Ross and friends

    * John B McKenna - twisting, turning lyricism, matched with an arched eyebrow, and a deft hand at tricky chord changes.  Like a less-annoying Syd Barrett, crossed with a cheery Elliott Smith.

    * Jonnie Common – former Down The Tiny Steps frontman breaks loose, armed only with an omnichord, and a big hat.

    * Gummi Bako - The pride of West Anstruther oils up for another dirty-do, barking all the way.

    * Pictish Trail – milking all he can out of the ticket money by playing as many of his 30 second songs as possible

AND STILL TONS MORE TO BE ANNOUNCED!!

ALSO … the event will also have a screening of the Fence Homegame Film, put together by our friends at The Forest of Black – that has been cheekily-tweaked since it’s premiere at Haarfest last month.

THE VENUE – the entertainment is spread across three venues; Stereo + two rooms at The Old Hairdresser, both situated at 22-28 Renfield Lane, Glasgow.

TICKETS – are £25, and that gets you in all day from 2pm until 2am! Only available from www.fencerecords.com
