We’re big big fans of New York’s best boy/girl group THE SHIVERS! Their latest album, In The Morning, is a stone-cold classic – recorded entirely on a four-track machine, embodying the cool sheen of Velvet Underground, the muscle and grit of Bruce Springsteen, and the neurotic intensity of Suicide. We invited them over for our Hallowe’en festival last year, and they blew everyone away, immediately becoming the weekend’s biggest selling act – pretty much all their merchandise had gone once they had finished! Ha! They’re coming over to the UK to record at Analogue Catalogue’s studios outside Manchester, for a release Fence is putting out later in the year … and so we’ve put together a short batch of dates for them. Love.Stop.Repeat. are Fence veterans – having played Homegame every year for the past 3 years, and a bunch of other Fence events/tours too. They’re a boy/girl two-piece, very hushed guitars, mandolins, harmonium and ukelele … and really tight harmonies. Really stripped back – incredible live. They’ve got a new album coming out in April, and a remix EP, featuring contributions from Adem and King Creosote, coming out on De-Fence Records. www.myspace.com/lovestoprepeat
Matthew & The Atlas is the work of Matt Hegarty, a really deep strong singer, and powerful songwriter. He’s touring with a banjo player and a drummer, and his debut EP is coming out in April on Communion, a label set up by Mumford & Sons. www.myspace.com/matthewandtheatlas
