Kid Canaveral have been working their indie-pop socks off this past year, and it’s paid off. Awarded the top spot in numerous end-of-year lists, SHOUTING At Wildlife made No. 5 overall in the Scottish BAMS, a poll of over 40 influential UK bloggers’ favourite albums of 2010. Not only that – the album was Avalanche Records’ (Scotland’s biggest independent record store) best selling album of 2010.  BOOOM.

Now, Scotland’s hardest working band are no longer Scotland’s best kept secret. The band are ready to bring their sound over to America this March, with shows in New York, and at SxSW, 2011, in Austin,Texas. Here’s a wee message from Kate Canaveral …

“This March we’ll be heading over to New York City (!!!) and South By SouthWest (in Austin, Texas!!!) to play some shows. Needless to say we are a bit giddy with excitement but unfortunately it turns out that longhaul flights and visas are mighty expensive so we may need a tiny bit of help from your good selves to get us there. That’s why we’re planning two top nights of entertainment in Edinburgh and Glasgow at the end of February – perhaps you would like to come along?” Kate Canaveral
