Exploring The Secrets Of Treating Deaf Mutes

    deafmutes_cd_book_out

‘Exploring The Secrets of Treating Deaf Mutes’ is the debut LP by Edinburgh duo Deaf Mutes, following their remix of Pip Dylan’s ‘Pirates’ on ‘Let’s Get This Ship On The Road’, and ‘Sweetness (soor ploom mix)’ and ‘Summertime’ on recent Fencezine cds. It contains 10 tracks and runs over 40 Minutes long. It’s epic, orchestral, psychedelic pop with hints of country, prog, krautrock and electronic beeping / parping noises. It was recorded over the best part of a year in a bedroom in Edinburgh and has acoustic guitars, accordions, piano, strings and all manner of strange synth and sample sounds.

Just shows you that you don’t need a big, fancy studio to create something bombastic and hi-fi!!
