Following on from Love.Stop.Repeat’s debut mini-album in 2009 and extensive touring, their first full-length ‘Remembering’ captures the sounds and feeling the duo have developed over the past 2 years. The heart of the album is the delicate interplay between Lindsay West’s hauntingly beautiful voice and the instrumentation lead by David Millar, filled out by West’s own playing. The sound is completed on Remembering with the appearance of guest players to add touches of viola, additional vocals and clarinet.
This collection of songs features a number of songs which have become a staple part of Love.Stop.Repeat’s live shows in recent months, as well as a number of as-yet unheard pieces, each of which tells a chapter of a tale that makes Remembering a single body of work in it’s own right. Songs of longing, of hope, of spirit. Songs that have grown in depth and matured in sound. This is Love.Stop.Repeat turning a new page and looking ever onward.
Remembering coincides with the release of a collection of remixes of Love.Stop.Repeat songs on Fence Records electronic offshoot De-Fence. This release features re-workings of songs by King Creosote, Adem and other Fence Collective members, reflecting the ties Love.Stop.Repeat have made with Fence over the last 2 years.
