‘Tender To The Blues’ is backed by a selection of tracks which all allude to the different areas James is coming from. First up is ’6:30 Is Just Way To Early’ (Reuben’s String Arrangement), Athlete Reuben takes one of the key tracks from ‘Moving Up Country’ & strips it down to the vocal, only to layer it with strings to create a lush, majestic piece. ‘A Man With My Skills’ was taken from the original demos that initially caught the attention of Domino. Lastly we have a medley of two traditional folk songs ‘Hares On The Mountain/Old Maid’ which firmly places James in the folk tradition that he so loves.
